What is Waste-Ed Periods?
The Waste Free Period Program is designed to help individuals make sustainable choices by providing education on sustainable menstrual products. It empowers participants to reduce waste, save money, and take charge of their period care in a more environmentally conscious way.
In-Person Education
The Waste Free Period Program is a nation-wide program run by local councils that educates students who get, or will get their period on all the different reusable period products that are available now-a-days. This program is designed to empower students to embrace their cycle, feel more confident try reusable menstrual products, normalise the talk around menstruation and even educate on the waste issue caused by tampons and pads.
Online Modules
As part of our Waste-Ed Periods Program to Schools and Community groups, we supply a series of online learning videos to further their knowledge on the topic, as well as provide refresher information that’s easy to refer back to. We have some videos which were filmed in partnership with KidsCan, these are terrific resources for younger menstruators. We also have other videos that are designed to be casual, approachable, and modern in their delivery, better reflecting the style of delivery of our in-person education.
